Working principle of throttle valve and one-way throttle valve

Throttle valves are valves that control fluid flow by changing the throttle section or length. Paralleling the throttle valve and the check valve can be combined into a one-way throttle valve. Throttle valves and one-way throttles are simple flow control valves. The throttle valve does not have a negative flow feedback function and cannot compensate for the speed instability caused by the load change. Generally, it is used only in occasions where the load change is not large or the speed stability is not required.

As shown in the figure below, the air flow path P is input and output through the throttle port through throttling of the throttle port. There is a certain functional relationship between the flow area of the orifice and the displacement of the valve body. This functional relationship is related to the shape of the throttling portion of the valve core. Commonly used needle valve type, triangular groove tip type and cylinder oblique type, etc., and the hydraulic throttle valve throttle part of the shape is basically the same, here is not repeated. Below figure shows the throttle valve of the cylindrical miter valve.

The following figure shows the structure of a one-way throttle valve, which are a combination control valve made by connecting a check valve and a throttle valve in parallel. When airflow flows from port P to port A, after throttle throttling; flow in the opposite direction, that is from A to P, the one-way valve opens without throttling. One-way throttle valves are commonly used in the timing and delay circuits of cylinders.
